i mean, umm, gee, that was unpatriotic of me to laugh and agree with you b/c it’s obvious you’ve got to be one o’them commie pinko queer people or something.
anyhow, screw it. that was AWESOME. depressing and sad, but awesome.
Another good one! Makes me remember: We Shall Not Forget By Law; Republican Milestone; Convenient Milestone; Dwelling Onto Fanaticism, etc. etc. ;> I love your work, Ben Hoffman.
Love it! Perhaps your best yet, in fact…says so much about this version of “patriotism” that says people in a Democracy should cower in fear while their leaders (though not their “government,” of course, since that’s all liberals) do whatever they want with no regard for law or any kind of morality except that which they create (Thou shalt kill, Thou shalt take from the poor to give to the rich, Thou shalt torture….)
I recall the night of my 29th birthday, I was on stage at Joe Thiesemann’s night club in Maryland when the band and the entire audience sang the HBD song. I said for a long time I have been scared of the boogey man. Well … F**K the boogey man! I downed another shooter, the crowd went (crazy-man) and the band … we played on.
It is the same thing. We are brave until a dreadful occurrence and they we aren’t fearless virgins anymore. Just a simile.

That it did! I migrated overseas before 9/11 happened, when I visited the United States again post-9/11 it was like going back to a different country – nothing was the same.
it’s like the game of golf, play tuff, play fair, and do our best. Good always overcomes bad.
As Jesus taught us, have faith. We need to fess up to the fact that we have to defeat them.
They attacked on 9/11, but they didn’t defeat us on 9/11.
Jesus is Lord and Savior. We need to get back to basics i think.

Thank you very much for this cartoon. This too is how I remember 9/11, and it both angers and saddens me. What a failure of leadership.
It is pretty sad what this country has become and what it could have been in the wake of 9/11 when we were united.

You remind me of that day. I don’t understand & i think i will never understand why these people do these kind of things.
